About

Hello! I’m Rebecca founder of The Order of Things, a San Francisco based organizing service that takes a holistic approach to wellness, ecology and community.

My Mission is to inspire people to create a framework for life + living that frees up physical and mental clutter so they can better align with their core values and the needs of the greater social environment and planet. My philosophy is steeped in awareness, gratitude and grace: where attention to and care of your belongings adds value to a life lived in a feeling of abundance while living with less.

I don’t believe in Organization Come again? There will never come a time when Organization will be a one-and-done, forever state in your house. Homes are dynamic places of flux. Organiz-ing, much like living, is a verb - an active process and continual practice in Perfect Imperfection. My services help jump start your unique ambitions to set the tone of your home or office by decluttering, re-envisioning storage solutions and creating systems that are both functional and beautiful. I believe in keeping it simple so you can keep on keeping on and love being in your home.

Giving Back I’m a serial community activist and volunteer. I have dedicated more than half my life working with SF organizations emphasizing children, art and literacy and homelessness. Through my organizing work, I am often able to re-distribute your donations directly to community organizations I work with in an effort to be zero waste and re-sourceful about my business practices. Being that only about 10% of donated items ever find new homes, why add to eventual landfill when someone can put it to good use right away.

Together, let’s create an atmosphere that supports positive connection to your Life with Things.
