Hello! I’m Rebecca founder of The Order of Things, a San Francisco based organizing service that takes a holistic approach to wellness, ecology and community.
My Mission is to create and inspire clients to have a home that has Pathos and Grace - one that feels like who you are now and feels kept, not decorated — honest materials, joyful imperfection, with room for quirky personality and a uniqueness that makes your home your own.
It’s a Practice. Organization is not a one-and-done activity. Homes, like the people who live in them, are dynamic organisms. Like life, it’s an active process and continual practice in wabi sabi and the lived experience. My services help jump start your unique ambitions to set the tone of your home or office by decluttering, re-envisioning storage solutions and creating systems that are both functional and beautiful for your particular situation. Giving Back As a community activist and volunteer, I have dedicated much of my life working with SF organizations emphasizing children, art and literacy and homelessness. Through my organizing work, I am often able to re-distribute your donations directly to community organizations I work with in an effort to be zero waste and re-sourceful about my business practices. Being that only about 10% of donated items ever find new homes, why add to eventual landfill when someone can put it to good use right away.
